After many years managing hotels and restaurants, my love of wine led to a change of career. Since then, I've worked in various roles both on the wholesale and retail sides of the wine trade.
Ever eager to expand my knowledge, I progressed through the ranks of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) qualifications, gaining my Advanced Certificate (Level 3) before enrolling on the Diploma (Level 4) course in 2006. I was fortunate enough to be awarded the Martell Cordon Bleu Scholarship early in 2007, and I completed the Diploma later that year.
Fuelled by a desire to share my passion for wine, I trained to become a Certified Educator for the WSET and subsequently an Approved Program Provider. Based in the Manchester, I now offer tuition for the Level 1, 2, and 3 Awards.
Although I swore that my studying days were over, I'm always learning something new about wine and I even find myself perusing the Institute of Masters of Wine website on occasion. However, one look at the MW syllabus is guaranteed to bring me back to my senses!
